As of 2026, Garena Free Fire's latest Elite Pass, Rampage II: Uprising, feels different from any pass I've grinded before. Garena has wrapped a proper narrative layer around the usual reward track, and I'm genuinely torn about which faction to back. The world is hanging in the balance, and two rival groups, the Bringers and the Liberi, are fighting over how to purge evil. That is a big promise for a mobile battle royale, but so far the event delivers.

Will You Side with the Bringers or the Liberi?
This is the first thing you have to decide after booting up the pass. A special in-game interface asks you to align with either the Bringers or the Liberi. Once you pick a side, you take on missions and earn Carnage Points to prove your loyalty. I love that your effort feeds directly into your faction, because it makes the whole grind feel less like busywork.
If you are chasing loot, both sides offer serious incentives. Here is what I have seen so far:
-
The Famine Felon bundle
-
M1014-Apocalyptic legendary weapon skins, with several variants
-
Bringers' and Liberi's pins
-
Faction-specific cosmetic goodies
The new Liberi and Bringers skins keep the familiar agile look from previous Rampage content but add an avant-garde twist. You can spot some of those designs in the image below. It is stylish without losing that chaotic Free Fire energy.

Meet the New Cast: Morana, Odin, Cyan, and Bitez
Expanding the Rampage universe was not just a cosmetic decision. According to one of Free Fire's narrative designers, the team had one big narrative choice to settle when they decided to add an entirely new event. That challenge produced four new characters who become the Liberi:
-
Morana, tied to death
-
Odin, tied to war
-
Cyan, tied to plague
-
Bitez, tied to famine
These four are apprentices to the Bringers of Change: Dee, Tyrian, Ivy, and Munch. The designer said the last piece of the puzzle was integrating the story into an in-game event that rewards players for choosing how the story unfolds. I appreciate that because it means my choices are not just cosmetic fluff; they shape the little narrative threads I experience.
Pre-Hype, Peak Day, and Post-Hype Events
Rampage II: Uprising splits its content into three phases: pre-hype, peak day, and post-hype. You do not want to sleep on any of them. This year's peak day lands on July 4th, and Garena has packed four different events into that window.
The Rampage Special Interface and Badge Collection Event tasks you with collecting Rampage Badges. If you collect enough, you can earn the Catastrophe Slasher and a themed badge that is available only on peak day. That badge is going to be rare, so mark your calendar.
Aftermath Drop is exclusive to peak day. After every match you play that day, you get a shot at a permanent UMP: Cataclysm or a Weapon Loot Crate. Considering how grindy weapon unlocks can be, this is a very generous window.
Plant Map Drop runs from July 4th to the 5th. You interact with various plants scattered around each map, and they grow bigger while dropping special tokens. The trick is that more players interacting with the same plant makes it grow faster, so this event quietly encourages cooperation even in a battle royale.
Friend Callback runs from July 4th to the 8th. Invite friends to the Rampage campaign for a chance to net a Rampage Collection and 99 Weapon Royale Vouchers. I always keep a few inactive friends in my list just for these callback windows.
| Event | Dates | Key Reward or Mechanic |
|---|---|---|
| Badge Collection | Ongoing | Catastrophe Slasher, peak-day badge |
| Aftermath Drop | July 4 only | Permanent UMP: Cataclysm or Weapon Loot Crate |
| Plant Map Drop | July 4-5 | Growing plants, special tokens |
| Friend Callback | July 4-8 | Rampage Collection, 99 Weapon Royale Vouchers |
Rampage 2.0 Game Mode
The new mode revolves around a stronghold mechanic. You capture and hold one of three points on the map while fighting to become a superpowered Rampage Warrior. I cannot stress enough how important teamwork is here. Squads that split up too much get punished fast. If you can hold a point with your team, the power spike is real, and the mode becomes chaos in the best way.

My Early Verdict
As a battle royale fan, I think Rampage II: Uprising is one of the more ambitious Elite Passes Garena has shipped. The faction loyalty system, the new characters, and the dense event schedule give you plenty of reasons to log in every day. It is free-to-play on the App Store and Google Play, so if you have not tried Free Fire yet, this is a solid time to jump in. Just pick your faction wisely. I am leaning Liberi, but I might swap if the Bringers start pulling ahead.
Hunting for more mobile battle royale action? There are plenty of great options, but right now Free Fire has my full attention.
